The Future of Public and Government Housing
Government housing, also known as public housing, is a government-led program to get qualifying low-income, elderly, or disabled persons into affordable housing they otherwise could not afford.
The Benefits of Modular Design
Modular housing is more affordable than traditional site-built homes. Each module of a home is built and designed in a factory which leads to little waste when building a modular home. This translates to only paying for the materials you need. Site-built homes generally require more materials than the house requires to make up for unforeseen delays.
Once a foundation is built, modular government homes can go anywhere. Once each module is finished in the factory, it can be assembled on-site to create quality affordable housing where it’s needed most.
Modular and prefabricated housing has a strict code of building and safety regulations that every home must meet. This ensures public housing meets HUD requirements including safety features, open floor plans and accessibility improvements.
